The non-profit organization WellLife Network Inc.’s new construction of an 8-story, 100,000 square foot apartment building intends to strengthen the Williamsbridge community by addressing the Bronx’s urgent shortage of affordable housing. The development is a 136 unit, 100% affordable housing community. Among these, 82 supportive housing units will create safe, permanent homes that help individuals and families move beyond homelessness and support recovery from mental health challenges.
By providing supportive and affordable housing, developments like this help residents remain rooted in their community, participate in the local economy, and build stronger futures for themselves and future generations. This transformative project represents more than housing. It not only uplifts residents but also enhances the overall vitality of the Bronx, creating a stronger, safer, and more inclusive community for all.
